Comparative Photocatalytic Degradation Study of Rose Bengal and Crystal Violet Dyes Using g-C3N4/TiO2 Composite
In this paper, we studied the photocatalytic degradation of Rose Bengal and crystal violet dye were studied under visible light in the presence of a g-C3N4/TiO2 composite. The effect of key operational parameters like pH, concentration of dye, catalyst dose, light intensity, and the role of scavengers such as EDTA, KI, benzoquinone, and isopropyl alcohol were studied. It was observed that at optimal experimental parameters, 67 % of Rose Bengal and 62 % of Crystal Violet were degraded using g-C3N4/TiO2 composite as a photocatalyst.
