Applications of CRISPR/Cas9 Gene Editing Technology in Plants
Abstract As a third-generation gene-editing tool, CRISPR/Cas9 is widely used in plant genetic improvement and gene functional research due to its ease of use, high specificity, and editing efficiency. This study reviews the underlying mechanisms of CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing and its applications in crop and forest tree studies, aiming to lay the foundation for plant functional genomics research and molecular breeding.
