MB degradation in wastewater by Solvothermally prepared Ag/CZTS/Mo photocatalytic powder

Abstract Improper water management of industrial wastewater give rise to substantial water pollution which is harmful for all aquatic flora and fauna through the discharge of industrial waste containing coloured chemicals. Increase in industrial dye in water, give rise to adverse effect on Oxygen level in water. To overcome this problem, it is essential to work on effective treatment of textile wastewater. To reduce Methylene Blue degradation, we have used Photocatalytic process. We have synthesized Silver/Copper Zinc Tin Sulfide/ Molybdenum (Ag/CZTS/Mo) non-aqueous solution by solvothermal method for the photocatalytic applications. Further Ag/CZTS/Mo were studied with the help of X-Ray Diffraction in which Kesterite structure is observed, we also calculated FWHM and grain size for the same. Chemical behaviour of CZTS were studied by Raman Spectroscope. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) is used for morphological study of Ag/CZTS/Mo. Further we studied Methylene blue degradation by using various concentrations of photocatalytic material Ag/CZTS/Mo.
