From Nexus to Action: A Collaborative Leadership Framework for Global Health Cooperation

This poster presents a collaborative leadership framework for strengthening global health cooperation across the humanitarian, development, and peace nexus. Developed through a Master of Advanced Studies in Humanitarian Leadership thesis at the University of Lucerne, Switzerland, the framework examines how collaborative leadership can help bridge institutional, sectoral and operational divides. The framework brings together four domains: common professional values, professional capabilities, collaborative leadership capabilities, and context-specific capabilities. Its practical contribution is to provide a structured approach for stakeholders to identify coordination gaps, align priorities, strengthen inclusive decision-making, and adapt collaborative practices to complex operating environments. The work is informed by a systematic literature review, with case studies providing additional methodological support. The framework is proposed as a practical and conceptual contribution to global health cooperation; further empirical testing is needed to assess its applicability and effectiveness across different contexts. This poster was prepared for the Geneva Health Forum 2026 under the title “From Nexus to Action: A Collaborative Leadership Framework for Global Health Cooperation.”
