A marine microbe 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing survey from a 5,500 nautical mile transect spanning the Eastern Pacific to the Western Atlantic
We report 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing data from 13 surface (6 m depth) epipelagic seawater samples collected along a 5,500 nautical mile transect from the Eastern Pacific (Baja, Mexico) to the Western Atlantic (Nova Scotia, Canada) during two 2025 cruise legs, expanding coverage of understudied marine microbial communities.
