Health Belief Model-Based Determinants of Hypertension Management Adherence in Productive-Age Adults: Evidence From the Cerdik Program
ABSTRACT Hypertension is a condition of persistent systemic blood pressure elevation. Cases among productive-age patients at Puskesmas Sangatta Utara, Kutai Timur Regency increased annually, raising the risk of serious complications. To identify determinants of adherence to hypertension management behavior (CERDIK Program) among productive-age patients in the working area of Puskesmas Sangatta Utara. Observational cross-sectional study with 107 productive-age hypertension patients (17-55 years) using simple random sampling. Multivariate analysis employed PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling). Vulnerability and severity perceptions did not directly influence CERDIK adherence (p0.05). Vulnerability perception significantly affected social media and health worker roles; severity perception affected health worker role only. Health workers positively influenced CERDIK adherence directly. Social media and health worker roles as moderating variables strengthened the effect of severity perception on adherence (p0.05). CERDIK adherence is more influenced by severity perception through the role of health workers and social media. Health education programs should maximize health worker roles and social media use to improve CERDIK behavior. Keywords: Adherence Behavior, CERDIK Program, Health Belief Model, Hypertension, Productive Age. Penderita hipertensi usia produktif di Puskesmas Sangatta Utara, Kabupaten Kutai Timur mengalami kenaikan kasus setiap tahun sehingga berisiko menimbulkan komplikasi serius.
