Pemanfaatan Lingkungan Pesantren At-Tibyan Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berbahasa Arab Santri

This study aims to analyze the utilization of the At-Tibyan Islamic boarding school environment in enhancing the Arabic language proficiency of its students. The Islamic boarding school environment holds significant potential for creating a language environment that enables students to gain direct and continuous Arabic language experience. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation regarding the implementation of language programs at At-Tibyan. The findings indicate that the utilization of the Islamic boarding school environment to improve Arabic proficiency is carried out through several key programs: the implementation of a language curriculum, daily vocabulary instruction, conversation practice, and a mandatory Arabic language policy for both teachers and students within the Islamic boarding school grounds. The language curriculum provides direction and structure to the Arabic learning process, while daily vocabulary instruction helps enrich the students' lexicon. Conversation practice offers students the opportunity to apply the vocabulary and material they have learned in real-time communication. Meanwhile, the mandatory use of Arabic in daily interactions fosters habituation and creates an environment that supports natural language acquisition. Thus, utilizing the Islamic boarding school At-Tibyan environment—through structured learning and the habit of communicating in Arabic—contributes to enhancing students' Arabic proficiency, particularly regarding vocabulary mastery and speaking skills
