Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Kompos Berbahan Kotoran Kerbau, Arang Sekam, Dan Daun Bambu Terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Cabai Katokkon (Capsicum annum L. var. sinensis)
Katokkon chili (Capsicum annum L. var. sinensis) is a red chili originating from Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi. Katokkon chili productivity has decreased every year. The continuous use of inorganic fertilizers can damage soil conditions, both physically, chemically, and biologically. One effort to increase soil fertility and reduce these negative impacts is the use of organic fertilizers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of buffalo dung, rice husk charcoal, and bamboo leaf waste compost on the growth of katokkon chili plants. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a quantitative approach to determine the effect of buffalo dung, rice husk charcoal, and bamboo leaf waste compost on the growth of katokkon chili plants. Data collection used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments. Furthermore, each treatment used three levels of compost, each with three replications. The results of this study indicate that the application of buffalo dung, rice husk charcoal, and bamboo leaves to katokkon chili plants significantly affected plant height, while stem diameter, leaf number, and leaf length had no significant effect.
