Can Matter Be Divided Infinitely
The universe contains two independent forms of existence, matter state and energy state. They differ in physical properties and evolution rules, and cannot be judged with the same division standard. Matter state carries rest mass and solid spatial structure, while energy state has no rest mass and photon acts as its basic carrier. Stable physical particles that form matter include electron, proton and neutron. Neutron is a composite structure formed by coupling of proton and electron. At the chemical level, atom is the smallest unit that keeps the chemical properties of matter, and atoms of different types have different structures. At the level of underlying stable matter particles, electron is the basic matter unit with smaller scale and mass. Some existing studies fail to distinguish the boundary between matter state and energy state. They mix basic concepts and use energy scales to set the division limit of matter, which leads to confusion in theoretical systems. Based on the fundamental principle of Light Origin Theory, this paper distinguishes the basic units and division boundaries of matter state and energy state, and builds a self consistent judgment framework.
