The use of industrial biotechnologies to solve environmental problems in the national interests

Subject. This article focuses on the use of industrial biotechnologies to solve environmental problems. Objectives. The study aims to systematize the main groups of industrial biotechnologies and biological products that are important for solving environmental problems in the national interest and achieving a positive impact on the citizens' health. Methods. For the study, I used methods of bibliographic analysis and systematization. Results. The article shows that in Russia in 2012–2024, there was a significant incidence increase of the population by the main classes of diseases. It also compiles a generalized scheme of the environmental situation potential impact on the human body, and identifies the leading regions in the municipal solid waste processing. Conclusions. There is a wide range of industrial biotechnologies that can reduce anthropogenic impact on the environment. This creates conditions for the improving environmental safety and the rational use of natural resources, as well as development of human potential.
