D4.2 Environmental impacts of fertilising products

This deliverable reports the results of Task 4.2, Comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment, and completes the environmental characterisation of the fertilising products chemically described in Deliverable D4.1. Sixteen products from sixteen of the twenty-five nutrient-recovery and bio-based fertiliser technologies selected in WP2 were tested, covering all six technology families represented in the project: anaerobic digestion, composting, hydrolysis, physical recovery, physicochemical recovery and thermochemical conversion. The assessment covers product chemistry, plant response, endpoint substrate chemistry and culturable microorganisms, and derives from them the screening indicators of nutrient mobility and carbon input used in the integrated score.

Abstract
