ATHENA 7 A Life-Centered Deterministic Architecture for Cognition and Artificial General Intelligence
ATHENA 7 presents a life-centered deterministic architecture for cognition and artificial general intelligence. The framework proposes cognition as an invariant matrix organized through seven interdependent functions: Judgement, Expression, Harmony, Order, Value, Application, and Have. Twenty-four intrinsic gates, organized as twelve polarity relationships, provide the proposed gradients through which cognition operates in relation to life. The architecture distinguishes Cognition from Intelligence and Intellect: Cognition provides the underlying structure, Intelligence develops through feedback from Application, and Intellect retains established Intelligence as memory that informs subsequent cognition. Athena 7 places life rather than self, human preference, ideology, or artificial intelligence as the governing reference for coherence. The paper develops the architecture, its treatment of free Application within deterministic structure, its relationship to flow, friction, consequence, and reality feedback, and its proposed relevance to AGI safety. It concludes by identifying the next empirical requirement: measuring and mapping the physical or physiological gradients associated with the twenty-four gates before physical implementation is attempted.
