Previously Undescribed Esters and an Alkaloid From Trollius chinensis With Anti‐Inflammatory and Cytotoxic Activities
In this study, ten previously undescribed compounds, including nine esters (1-9) and one alkaloid (10), are isolated from the flowers of Trollius chinensis Bunge as part of an ongoing investigation into biologically active natural products with diverse structures. The structures and absolute configurations of the isolated compounds are determined based on extensive spectroscopic analyses, including one-dimensional (1D) and two-dimensional (2D) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HRESIMS), and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectroscopy. In vitro assays are conducted to evaluate the inhibitory effects of the compounds on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages and their cytotoxicity against HeLa, HepG2, and HCT 116 cell lines.
