PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE SUPPLEMENTATION IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH GALLBLADDER HYPOMOTILITY: BIOLOGICAL RATIONALE AND PROPOSED CLINICAL EVALUATION
Background: Phosphatidylcholine is an important component of bile and contributes to cholesterol solubilization through interactions with bile salts and other biliary lipids. Although these biological properties provide a rationale for investigating phosphatidylcholine in biliary disorders, its efficacy in pregnant women with gallbladder hypomotility has not been established.
