Integration of Landscape Aesthetics and Sustainable Business Models in Kaliaren Village Land Utilization

This research aims to identify and optimize land use in Kaliaren Village through the integration of landscape aesthetic aspects and the development of sustainable business models. Using a descriptive-exploratory qualitative approach, this study maps the existing conditions of land use, analyzes aesthetic and economic potential, and explores the perception of the community and stakeholders through observation, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions, and spatial analysis. The results of the study show that Kaliaren Village has strong landscape potential in the form of terraced rice fields, vegetation diversity, natural springs, and authentic rural visual character. However, land use is still dominated by conventional agriculture with low economic added value, limited human resource capacity, lack of business innovation, and lack of a strong village brand. Through SWOT analysis and strategy formulation, this research offers a development concept that combines environmental aesthetics, ecological sustainability, and community-based economic strengthening through agro-tourism, aesthetic public space development, value-added products, and participatory business models. This research contributes to the development of the concept of aesthetic entrepreneurship and provides an implementable framework that can be replicated in other villages with similar characteristics.
