REGARDING THE POSSIBILITY OF ACTIVATING POWDER COMPONENTS IN A MIXER FOR PLASMA SPRAYING OF MULTICOMPONENT COATINGS
The article is devoted to the process of preparing a multicomponent mixture of Fe, Ni, Al, Cr, Mo for plasma spraying of coatings. A specially designed mixer in the form of a hexagonal bipyramid with ribbed faces was used to mix the powder components. Perforation of the rib plates of the facets, mixing of the powders, and feeding the resulting mixture in an argon environment into the plasma jet of the plasma torch made it possible to increase the bond strength between the plasma coating and the substrate by up to 15 %. This may indicate partial activation of the powder particles in the designed mixer.
