Comment on “Determination of Mass Transfer Rates of 3-Pentanone into Crude Oil at High Temperatures”
Abstract In the numerical simulation of Rezk et al. (DOI: 10.1021/acs.energyfuels.6c01490), the concentrations at the interface were kept constant. The present correspondence reveals that the concentrations at the interface should be dynamically computed during the numerical simulation. The interface conditions should include the phase equilibrium and the continuity of diffusion flux. Rezk et al. (DOI: 10.1021/acs.energyfuels.6c01490) did not include the continuity of diffusion flux in their mathematical model.
