New professions in libraries, repositories, and electronic libraries in the age of digitalization
The article analyzes the emergence and formation of new professions and professional roles in libraries, repositories, electronic libraries, and bibliographic agencies under conditions of digitalization. It examines the impact of electronic collections, institutional repositories, online publications, self-publishing, and artificial intelligence on the changing qualification requirements. It is shown that alongside traditional library specialties, new roles are being formed: digital curators, repository managers, metadata specialists, digital preservation experts, data analysts, and others. Special attention is paid to the Ukrainian context and the prospects for training the relevant specialists.
