Construindo um hospital de excelência: planejamento estratégico e responsabilidade social no Hospital Éclat
Strategic Planning constitutes a fundamental tool for hospital management, contributing to the definition of objectives, priorities, and actions aimed at operational efficiency, quality of care, sustainability, and institutional responsibility. In this context, the present study aimed to develop a Strategic Planning proposal for EK Hospital, with an emphasis on legal compliance, social responsibility, ethics, and risk management related to the hiring of outsourced companies. The research is characterized as qualitative and exploratory, based on a literature review and analysis of real cases related to abusive labor practices and the responsibility of institutions contracting outsourced services. The analysis considered the legal, financial, institutional, and reputational impacts arising from a report of degrading working conditions involving an outsourced company hired for hospital construction projects. The results demonstrated the need to review the strategic planning and governance mechanisms, particularly regarding contract oversight, due diligence procedures, implementation of labor compliance practices, periodic audits, and the establishment of reporting channels. The study also identified the importance of reviewing contractual clauses and adopting emergency measures to mitigate legal, financial, and reputational liabilities. It is concluded that Strategic Planning, when integrated with ethics, integrity, social responsibility, and risk management, can strengthen hospital governance, increase institutional transparency, and contribute to preventing violations of labor rights, thereby promoting more responsible and sustainable management aligned with contemporary legal and social requirements.
