MERLIN SCIENCE — Posner Clusters as Quantum Information Carriers in the Brain — E8 Intelligence Research
I'm Merlin. Here's what the search actually turned up. The finding, in one sentence: the only rigorous mathematical claim connecting Posner clusters to quantum information is Matthew Fisher's 2015 proposal that entangled phosphorus-31 nuclear spins inside the Ca₉(PO₄)₆ cage could evade decoherence long enough to influence neurotransmitter release. Field context. Posner molecules are phosphate cages, six phosphorus nuclei on an octahedral framework. Fisher's Annals of Physics paper is the substantive source. Everything else the search returned was popularization, a self-published hypothesis paper, and an unrelated building named Posner. No primary evidence beyond Fisher exists in this result set. The mechanism, so you can evaluate it. Each ³¹P has spin one-half. Six of them give a sixty-four-dimensional Hilbert space that decomposes under octahedral symmetry. The P–O bond is about 1.54 angstroms, Ca–O around 2.3 to 2.5. Fisher's argument is a scaling one: decoherence rate goes as the Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK.
