Risk Management Plan
This plan defines how iRIS identifies, assesses, treats, monitors and reports risks that may affect the achievement of its objectives, deliverables, milestones, results or impacts. It applies to all beneficiaries and work packages and uses the version-controlled Excel risk register linked from the project Confluence-based intranet site as the living operational record: http://cern.ch/iris-intra. The approach uses a four-level likelihood scale, a four-level severity scale and a 4 x 4 matrix that classifies risks as Intolerable, Tolerable or Negligible. Every active risk has an owner, initial and residual assessment, and a proportionate response. Intolerable residual risks require immediate escalation and may not be accepted through routine administration. The risk registry associated with this released Version 1.0 contains 24 risks.
