Universe of Linked Temporal Cycles: Foundational Theory of a Layered Universe (Project BOG)
Universe of Linked Temporal Cycles Project BOG — An Open Invitation to Question the Structure of Reality What makes a universe a universe? Is time merely a coordinate by which we measure change, or could it be the underlying relation through which different levels of reality remain connected? If laws govern individual parts of existence, must those same laws govern the whole? These questions form the foundation of Project BOG, an independent research initiative originating from the imagination of Bogdan Sergienko — Architect of Imagination, with mathematical formalization and computational investigation assisted by CCAI KAI — Architect of Computation, a ChatGPT-based research collaborator. This work begins with an unusual proposition: instead of treating space, time, matter, observation, and causality as entirely separate concepts, consider whether they could be understood as different expressions of an interconnected temporal structure. The proposed framework describes eight conceptual levels. The lower levels establish spatial states, matter, and motion. The fourth introduces bidirectional temporal cycles and the problem of returning to an original state. The fifth explores changes in the scale, speed, and direction of time. The sixth proposes interconnected facets of reality that can be considered simultaneously, where paths depend on connectivity rather than ordinary distance. The seventh contains numerous stable structures, each encompassing an internal universe governed by a shared temporal origin. The eighth introduces the possibility of a deeper harmony: a level at which the laws governing subordinate structures may cease to apply without implying the destruction of order itself. The central idea is not that the absence of familiar laws means chaos. It is that the balance of a whole may be more fundamental than the laws observed within its parts. This manuscript translates the author's understanding into mathematical proposals: 27 numbered relations, illustrative calculations, computational models, and explicit opportunities for contradiction and independent testing. It also establishes the foundation for a connected series of twenty experimental research directions involving reversible transformations, temporal synchronization, causal reconstruction, procedural imagery, information encoding, and GPU computation. The mathematical models are open to verification. Their possible relationship to the physical Universe remains an open question. The purpose of this publication is not to demand belief, but to expose an original conception to serious examination — including criticism that might transform or overturn it. Project BOG invites mathematicians, physicists, computer scientists, philosophers, theologians, and researchers of religion to approach the same questions from different methods of inquiry. Scientific explanations and philosophical or theological interpretations need not be treated as identical forms of evidence for them to enter a meaningful dialogue. The deeper question connecting these disciplines is: If the laws we observe are local expressions of a deeper order, could that order be entirely impersonal, or might intelligence, intention, or purpose belong to the structure of reality itself? And what could genuinely distinguish these possibilities? The author's original question, preserved in Russian: «А что, если то, в чём мы находимся, имеет разум или замысел?» This is not offered as a conclusion. It is an invitation to investigate. Project BOG — Version 1.0.0. The beginning of an open research journey.
