Saúde em tempos de crise climática: otimização de processos do SUS em contexto de desastre ambiental

This integrative project analyzes the impacts of climate change on the continuity of access to public healthcare in Brazil, focusing on the challenges faced by vulnerable populations in situations of environmental disaster. The study addresses how floods and other calamities compromise access to the Brazilian Unified Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS), particularly when personal documents, medical prescriptions, and essential health records required for the continuity of treatment are lost. The study aims to propose guidelines for modernizing identification and healthcare delivery processes within the SUS, using digital technologies, biometrics, and integrated electronic health records as instruments to strengthen institutional resilience.
