DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF REFLEXIVE ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF ENSURING ECONOMIC SECURITY: FUNCTIONAL FOUNDATIONS AND THE SECTORAL CONTEXT OF FOREIGN INVESTMENT
Digital transformation changes the informational and analytical conditions under which enterprises observe their own activities, interpret deviations and revise managerial decisions. This issue is especially relevant for economies competing for foreign investment while simultaneously facing heightened cyber, data and investment-security risks. The purpose of the article is to develop a conceptual and analytical framework for examining how digital technologies alter the information, analytical, reflexive, decision and control functions of reflexive enterprise management, and to clarify the relevance of those functions to the preparation, implementation and monitoring of foreign investment. The study distinguishes digital data capture and automated analytics from managerial reflexivity: technology can extend the evidence base, increase traceability and accelerate monitoring, but it does not itself perform critical reassessment of assumptions. The methodological design combines an integrative review of reflexive management learning, double-loop learning, team reflexivity and digital-transformation research with functional decomposition of the management process. The foreign-investment dimension is examined across the stages of investor interest, due diligence, project preparation and structuring, investment decision, implementation, monitoring, adjustment and possible reinvestment or exit. Economic security is considered at two analytically separate levels: digital-operational security of the enterprise and investment-security constraints related to foreign control, critical assets and sensitive technologies. Official Ukrainian enterprise ICT statistics and National Bank of Ukraine foreign-direct-investment statistics are used solely for sectoral contextualisation of the digital and investment environment. The empirical material is descriptive and is not treated as a direct measure of organisational reflexivity or as evidence of a causal effect of management practices on FDI. The article is therefore designed as a conceptual-analytical study with empirical sectoral contextualisation and establishes a transparent basis for subsequent firm-level testing of reflexive management practices and investment outcomes.
