A utilização de ferramentas de gestão na saúde: diagnóstico, estratégia e formação de gestores hospitalares

Management tools are essentialinstruments for planning, controlling, andimprovingorganizational processes, especially in hospital settings thatdemand high operationalefficiency, strategicdecision-making, and a strongfocusoncarequality. Thisstudyaimstodescribethemain management tools appliedtothehealthcare sector andtoinvestigatetheleveloffamiliarityof Hospital Management studentswiththesemethodologies. The researchemployedbibliographicreviewandtheapplicationof a structuredquestionnaireat a highereducationinstitution as methodological procedures. The results show that tools such as SWOT Analysis, PDCA, and 5W2H are widelyrecognizedbystudents, while more complexorcontemporarymethods, such as the BCG Matrix, Kanban, andWaterfall, show a lowlevelofawareness. This gap highlightstheneed for curricular updates, withgreateremphasisontheintegratedpracticeofstrategic tools thatmeetmarketdemandsandcontributetothecriticalandqualified training of future hospital managers.
