The protection of new cultural minorities in the context of resurgent nationalism: the Italian constitutional perspective
This paper examines the protection of new linguistic and cultural minorities from the perspective of the Italian constitutional order, against the backdrop of resurgent nationalism. It explores the possible extension of Article 6 of the Italian Constitution to new linguistic minorities and the role of citizenship in promoting inclusion and participation within an intercultural model of integration. Attention is devoted to the relationship between cultural diversity and social cohesion, and to the constitutional significance of effective ties between citizens and the political community.
