Scientific Recognition Architecture. Operational Specification — Version 1.0 (Report)

This presentation introduces Scientific Recognition Architecture, Operational Specification Version 1.0, as a framework for investigating complex environmental processes before mature explanations become available. Scientific Recognition progressively identifies an empirical object’s boundaries, relationships, and uncertainties, while Scientific Navigation determines subsequent investigative actions. The architecture gives the developing object priority over disciplinary categories, institutional prestige, and established project plans. Its iterative operations connect observations, relational fields, process morphology, explanatory possibilities, and empirical verification. Research records preserve provenance, spatial and temporal context, contradictions, missing information, rejected hypotheses, and changes in reasoning. Participation requires demonstrated operational competence and acceptance of shared procedures without requiring agreement on explanations. Version control and operational review make implementation traceable while distinguishing procedural compliance from scientific truth. Applications include military ecotone theory, soil after war as a configurational object, and expert–AI inquiry. Complementary laboratories organise field investigation and information management. Fibre-optic drone tether debris illustrates recognition of an emerging contamination object whose transformation pathways and environmental effects require testing. Field verification prioritises observations capable of distinguishing hypotheses and documenting change. The specification provides a published starting point for research practice, with its provisions themselves subject to evaluation and revision.

Abstract

This presentation introduces Scientific Recognition Architecture, Operational Specification Version 1.0, as a framework for investigating complex environmental processes before mature explanations become available. Scientific Recognition progressively identifies an empirical object’s boundaries, relationships, and uncertainties, while Scientific Navigation determines subsequent investigative actions. The architecture gives the developing object priority over disciplinary categories, institutional prestige, and established project plans. Its iterative operations connect observations, relational fields, process morphology, explanatory possibilities, and empirical verification. Research records preserve provenance, spatial and temporal context, contradictions, missing information, rejected hypotheses, and changes in reasoning. Participation requires demonstrated operational competence and acceptance of shared procedures without requiring agreement on explanations. Version control and operational review make implementation traceable while distinguishing procedural compliance from scientific truth. Applications include military ecotone theory, soil after war as a configurational object, and expert–AI inquiry. Complementary laboratories organise field investigation and information management. Fibre-optic drone tether debris illustrates recognition of an emerging contamination object whose transformation pathways and environmental effects require testing. Field verification prioritises observations capable of distinguishing hypotheses and documenting change. The specification provides a published starting point for research practice, with its provisions themselves subject to evaluation and revision.
