The Right to Biological Identity: The Nature, Content, and Place in the System of Human Bio-Rights

The article examines doctrinal issues related to understanding the nature, content, and place of the human right to biological identity within the emerging system of bio‑rights. The relevance of introducing legal clarity into the definition of the right in question, identifying its main distinguishing features, and establishing its relationship with other types of bio‑rights is noted. The hybrid nature of the right to biological identity, which belongs simultaneously to personal and biological rights, is substantiated. The importance of legal regulation of this right at the international legal and national levels is emphasized in the context of addressing the tasks of unifying and codifying the system and content of bio‑rights as an independent group of human rights of the fourth generation.
