Discovery and Structure Elucidation of a New Polyketide‐Derived Tetrahydropyran‐Containing Conjugated Fatty Acid Derivative Isolated From Typhonium blumei
ABSTRACT A chemical investigation of the 95% EtOH extract of Typhonium blumei led to the isolation of a new polyketide‐derived tetrahydropyran‐containing conjugated fatty acid derivative ( 1 ), together with four known compounds ( 2 – 5 ). The structure of compound 1 was elucidated through comprehensive spectroscopic analyses, including 1D and 2D NMR spectra ( 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, DEPT, HSQC, HMBC, COSY, and NOESY), as well as HR‐ESI‐MS data. Its absolute configuration was further established by ECD calculation. The biosynthetic pathway for compound 1 was postulated. In addition, all the isolated compounds ( 1 – 5 ) were tested for their cytotoxic activities.
