Existence Engineering: A Biophysical and Philosophical Framework on Material Transformation and Consciousness Emergence Abstract:This paper presents an integrative theoretical framework revisiting the ontological tension between matter and consciousness through the lens of modern biophysics and cognitive neuroscience. We demonstrate that historical attributions of the "soul" can be scientifically deconstructed into electrochemical gradients, action potentials, and bioenergetic cellular dynamics (Na+/K+-ATPase, ATP, Membrane Potential). Through emergentist theory, consciousness and self-awareness are elucidated as systemic emergent properties arising from 86 billion neurons and 100 trillion synapses (Integrated Information Theory).
