IMPROVING PROFESSORS' WORK–LIFE BALANCE THROUGH EFFECTIVE WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT AND HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES
The thesis examines how effective workload management and human resource management practicescan improve the work–life balance of university professors. The dynamics of the student–staff ratio in Uzbekistan in2021/2022–2025/2026 are analysed as an indicator of the workload pressure on faculty members. On the basis of the jobdemand–control model, work/family border theory and research on recovery from work, a set of workload managementprinciples and HR practices that support balance is proposed, together with indicators for monitoring their effect.
