Neck pain in office workers
Office workers are at risk of developing neck pain (NP), which is one of the main causes of temporary incapacity for work and disability. NP associated with office work is caused by a combination of individual, physical and psychosocial factors. Identifying the factors that predispose office workers to the development and chronicity of NP may contribute to the primary and secondary prevention of pain. A multisystem approach to the treatment and prevention of NP among office workers is recognized as the most effective; it includes optimization of the work-place in accordance with ergonomic principles, therapeutic exercises and psychological intervention. The drugs of choice for relieving NP are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, among which aceclofenac (Aertal) is one of the most effective and safe.
