The article substantiates the theoretical guidelines for preschool education within the paradigm of sustainable development and identifies the specific features of implementing its principles in preschool education institutions. It is argued that preschool education constitutes a fundamental component of education for sustainable development, as this stage lays the foundations for children's value-based attitudes toward nature, society, their own health, and the surrounding world. The study demonstrates that integrating sustainable development principles into preschool education should be comprehensive, encompassing educational content, the learning environment, the organization of children's activities, and pedagogical interaction. The concept of "preschool education within the paradigm of sustainable development" is further refined and defined as a holistic system aimed at developing children's values, behavioral practices, and experience of responsible interaction with the natural and social environment. A system of interconnected theoretical guidelines for preschool education within the sustainable development paradigm is identified, including the value-oriented focus of the educational process, the integration of environmental, social, and economic dimensions, the activity-based nature of educational interaction, and partnership among all participants in the educational process. It is established that the implementation of sustainable development principles in preschool education institutions requires not only the renewal of educational content but also the transformation of the educational environment, the organization of children's activities, and pedagogical interaction in accordance with the values of sustainable development, thereby ensuring the holistic character of the educational process. The study demonstrates that the effectiveness of implementing sustainable development principles in preschool education institutions depends on their systematic integration into all components of the educational process. Particular emphasis is placed on the fact that the foundations of a culture of sustainable development in preschool children are formed through practical interaction with the environment, participation in collaborative activities, age-appropriate decision-making, and engagement in everyday sustainable lifestyle practices. In this context, the preschool education institution is viewed as a primary environment of children's socialization, where the values of sustainable development are internalized through personal experience, interaction, and modeling, thus creating the foundation for responsible behavior and a culture of sustainable living.
