POSTURAL HABITS, SITTING DURATION, AND CERVICAL PAIN IN STUDENTS: A SURVEY STUDY
ABSTRACT : Screens have become an integral part of daily life for adults, teenagers, and students alike, serving as a fundamental pillar for academic achievement and educational convenience. However, increased sitting time in front of these devices can cause severe symptoms and disorders associated with this unhealthy lifestyle. This survey study aims to investigate the relationship between sitting hours and neck and spinal pain among students, utilizing an electronic structured questionnaire administered to a sample of ten students. The findings confirm a causal relationship between the participants' unhealthy study habits—specifically bad sitting postures—and chronic musculoskeletal conditions affecting their shoulder, back, and neck muscles.
