Implementation as a System Journey: Connecting Implementation Science and Continuous Design for Healthcare Improvement
Continuous design for quality and safety in healthcare and implementation science are fundamentally connected fields with a shared mission: systematically and sustainably improving healthcare and outcomes. Panel discussions at the 2025 HFES Healthcare Symposium and ASPIRE Annual Meeting explored how these fields can strengthen each other in practice. This work synthesizes lessons learned from these discussions and research developments at the nexus of these fields, laying groundwork for an integrative research agenda.
