TECHNICAL ADDENDUM_ AERO-2026-02 DYNAMIC ASYMMETRIC FLUIDIC DIODE Oct 30 (1).docx
This Technical Addendum (AERO-2026-02) to The Roman Dodecahedron Engine: An Integrated Forensic Diagnostic Brief (Version 3.0) establishes the aeromechanical and aeroacoustic framework governing the Northwestern Provincial Roman Dodecahedron as an autonomous, wind-driven asymmetric fluidic diode. By coupling internal unsteady mass-flux continuity across standardized asymmetric aperture pairings (D_large ≈ 22 mm opposing D_small ≈ 10 mm) with external bluff-body aerodynamics along 63.4° canted pentagonal facets, this study resolves two governing operating regimes: Phase I (Reactive Jet Thrust): Dynamic stagnation ingestion accelerating rearward micro-jet evacuation (U_jet ≈ 3.0–3.5 · V_∞) to overcome static inertia and tripod contact friction. Phase II (Dynamic Lift Unweighting): Upward momentum deflection across canted windward facets generating dynamic aerodynamic lift (L) that collapses net normal load (F_N,net → 0), suppressing Coulomb-Hertzian and Bingham viscoplastic substrate furrow drag. Coupled fluidic diode mechanics compress the critical sustained stepping threshold down to V_crit = 2.0 to 2.8 m/s (Beaufort scale 2). The addendum includes 3-DOF numerical trajectory simulations within circular (Scapha) and oblong (Conus) boundary basins—revealing annular rosette limit cycles, running guilloche ribbon knot patterns, and normal load depth modulation (0.25 mm to >2.00 mm)—alongside multi-orifice Helmholtz sweep formulations (460–1,240 Hz), flexural bronze shell rigidity proofs (D_flex ≈ 33.39 N·m), and standardized boundary parameters for independent LES, FSI, and FW-H computational validation.
