Teaching Mathematics through Qur'anic Numeracy: Representations of the Numbers 7 and 19 in the Qur'an

Mathematics in the Qur'an shows the uniqueness of His design and the text's perfection, arranged harmoniously and integrating spiritual, numerical, and scientific concepts. This study aims to represent the numbers 7 and 19 in the codification of the Qur'an. This study uses a literature study. The research data sources include journals, printed and digital books, and other valid sources. The data collected include surahs, verses of the Qur'an, and its numerical structure involving the numbers 7 and 19. Data collection used the Maudhu'i method. The results of the study show that the existence of the numbers 7 and 19 represents the numerical structure and natural phenomena, including the 7 layers of the sky (An-Naba: 12; Al-Hijr: 16), the 7 land masses and the seas (Ath-Thalaq: 12; Luqman: 27), 7 (verses) read repeatedly (Al-Hijr:87), 7 human body parts (Al-Alaq:19), 7 human periods (Al-Fath:26), 7 layers of hell (Al-Hijr:44), 19 guardian angels of hell (Al-Muddassir:30), surah Al-'Alaq (19 verses, words) and (76=19×4) letters, surah Al-Qalam (38=19×2) words, surah Al- Muzammil (57=19×3), Al-Quran letter (114=19×6), 19 letters (basmalah). This finding shows the balance of word counts, muqattaʿat letters, days of creation, multiple patterns, and regular numerical codes in the Qur'an. Thus, the numbers 7 and 19 reflect mathematical concepts in the Qur'an, manifested through symbols, the meanings of lafadz, and the codification of letters, words, verses, and surahs, along with their numerical values
