Relativistic Scale Invariance in Islamic Cosmology: A Comparative Analysis of Time Dilation in Quranic Text and Modern Physics
Abstract: For centuries, classical human thought viewed time as a rigid, absolute backdrop against which the universe unfolded, a perspective fundamentally overturned by 20th-century physics. This study investigates linguistic parallels within the 7th-century text of the Quran that outline multiple, varying scales of time dilation. By examining the semantic roots of classical Arabic terms regarding cosmic ascent (Ya'ruju) alongside mathematical ratios provided in Surah At-Sustainable, Surah As-Sajdah, and Surah Al-Ma'arij, this paper bridges ancient theological descriptions with special and general relativity. Moving past poetic matching, this work presents a structured, quantitative framework demonstrating that the text models time as an elastic dimension matching modern cosmological physics.
