Tarāduf dan Nuansa Emotif Doa Nabi Yunus Dan Zakariya: Implikasi Bagi Penerjemahan Al-Qur'an

Qur’anic tarāduf studies usually examine word pairs in isolation, while studies of emotive meaning and Qur’anic translation have developed separately; how semantic proximity, emotive nuance, and target-language equivalence interact within a prayer text remains unexplained. This study analyzes the semantic relations, emotive nuances, and translation implications of the diction in the prayers of Prophet Yunus (Q.S. al-Anbiyā’ [21]: 87–88) and Prophet Zakariya (Q.S. Āli ‘Imrān [3]: 38; Maryam [19]: 3–6; al-Anbiyā’ [21]: 89). Using qualitative library research, data were recorded in a coding matrix, analyzed through descriptive-interpretive content analysis supported by classical lexicons and exegeses, and compared with the 2019 Indonesian translation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Rather than absolute synonymy, the findings show three types of relations: near-synonymy, furūq lughawiyyah, and non-synonymous diction that builds emotive effects. Yunus’s prayer forms a dense pattern of crisis, glorification, self-confession, and surrender, whereas Zakariya’s develops gradually from an awareness of weakness toward hope for continuity. The Indonesian translation preserves referential meaning, but components such as the scope of ẓulm and the functional sense of waliyy depend on context. This study contributes a three-layer model (semantic relation → emotive markers → equivalence strategy) that prevents over-extending the label tarāduf
