Metafora Teologis Regulasi Diri Semut (Amsal 6:6-9) Sebagai Strategi Penanganan Prokrastinasi Akademik Mahasiswa
The behavior of inhibiting work, known as procrastination, is a negative behavior. Procrastination often contributes to poor outcomes in various aspects of life. This phenomenon is generally caused by a lack of self-regulation. This research aims to explore the life of ants (Proverbs 6: 6-9) as an example of a creature that shows self-regulation, and apply it in the context of preventing and handling procrastination behavior among students, with a focus on developing self-regulation as a student. The method used in this research is library research, which involves analysis of literature related to procrastination, self-regulation, and exegesis of ant behavior. The research results show that ants are one of the animals that have self-regulation. Ants do not show procrastination behavior. Therefore, it can be concluded that self-regulation in ants can be used as an example as a step to overcome students' procrastination attitudes. As a recommendation, future researchers can investigate further about the social life of ants which tend to form groups, cooperation, and the meaning of the interaction of ants kissing each other when they meet.
