Climate change litigation in Europe and the Global South: National, regional, and international perspectives

The role of courts in clarifying and interpreting existing climate law and, in doing so, contributing to its progressive development is crucial to addressing the climate emergency at all scales. The three books together provide domestic, regional, comparative and international legal perspectives on climate litigation. Each book has the potential to inform the other by identifying applicable climate law, framing litigation strategies and contributing to climate change governance through climate litigation.Since each book discusses climate cases in different legal and policy contexts, the extent to which one can inform the other may vary because the legal and policy frameworks and their interpretation in domestic courts may differ.
