The Predictive ability of Attachment Styles and Social Information Processing on Bullying among Primary School Students in Bani Kinanah District

The study aimed to investigate the predictive ability of attachment styles and social information processing on bullying behavior among a sample of 413 male and female students from the eighth and ninth grades during the 2024/2025 academic year, selected using a cluster sampling method. To achieve the study objectives, the scales of Attachment Styles, Social Information Processing, and Bullying were administered. After verifying the validity and reliability of the study instruments, the results indicated that anxious and secure attachment styles, as well as social information processing, were statistically significant predictors of bullying behavior. Collectively, these variables accounted for 52.7% of the variance in bullying behavior. The anxious attachment style was the strongest positive predictor, explaining 42.30% of the variance, followed by the secure attachment style, which explained 8.80%, and social information processing, which explained 1.70% of the total explained variance in the predictive model.
