A Review of Cardiac Biomarkers
Endogenous chemicals released into the bloodstream when the heart is damaged or under stress are known as cardiac biomarkers. Acute coronary syndrome, a potentially fatal condition characterized by the abrupt onset of persistent pain in the chest, one or both arms, shoulders, abdomen, or jaw, as well as shortness of breath, nausea, sweating, and dizziness, can be diagnosed, risk-stratified, and treated with the help of these biomarker measurements.
