Sustainable HRM through Aesthetics Embodiment and Emotional Dynamics in Higher Education
Abstract Purpose The study investigates the experiential dimensions that focus on aesthetics, embodiment and emotions in higher education institutions (HEIs). Its objective is to bridge the gap between sustainability and sensory engagement in organizational contexts. Design/Methodology/Approach This study uses a quantitative research design and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to explore the interplay among aesthetics, embodiment, emotions, and sustainability among employees in HEIs. Findings The results show that aesthetics, emotion and embodiment significantly influence sustainability. Emotional responses mediate the relationship between aesthetics and sustainability, fostering deeper commitment to sustainable practices in higher education. Practical Implications This research offers actionable insights for HEIs to design aesthetically enriched environments and promote experiential learning. It helps in aligning individual behaviours with organizational sustainability goals. Originality/Value By emphasizing on human-centric dimensions, this study contributes to the theoretical and practical understanding of sustainability as a lived experience rather than an abstract concept.
