The Parametric Rater: Navigating Human Behavior, Bias, and Null States Using the WVAS
A Proprietary Research Monograph How do we judge the actions of others when we lack complete information? When a person’s behavior contradicts their known reputation, how does the human mind calculate their true intent? This essay introduces the Winer Value Assessment Scale (WVAS©) as a parametric tool to evaluate human behavior. We structure this exploration through a specific six-stage conceptual framework. We examine four distinct rating cases that reveal how we navigate "null" states (unknown variables) and contradictory evidence in daily social interactions. By starting with these four core cases, we open a wide, cross-disciplinary dialogue. We invite insights from behavioral economics, neuroscience, social psychology, philosophy, logic, biology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and medicine. We explore how default trust, reputation, and contextual domains shape the way we assign value to the actions of others. Ultimately, this framework provides a clear, structural lens to view the complex mathematics of human judgment.
