СИММЕНТАЛ ЗОТЛИ СИГИРЛАРНИНГ ПУШТДОРЛИК ХУСУСИЯТЛАРИ
The article presents information on the characteristics of Simmental cows belonging to different production types. The study found that the age at first calving was 789.5 days for cows of the dairy type and 795.1 days for those of the dairy-beef type; these figures were 11.1 and 5.5 days lower, respectively, than the age at first calving for cows of the beef-dairy type. Additionally, the service period lasted 78.3 days for dairy-type cows and 81.2 days for dairy-beef-type cows—4.2 and 1.3 days shorter, respectively, than the service period for beef-dairy-type cows. Research findings regarding the duration of the service period indicate that the cow itself is a primary factor determining reproductive performance; this highlights the importance of effectively utilizing cows of dairy and dual-purpose (dairy-beef) types for milk production.
