Mapping from SPASE to DataCite for Instruments
The documents included here show the mapping of each relevant SPASE field, currently v2.7.2, to the DataCite metadata schema, currently v4.7, for Instrument records. The "Main" tab contains the overall mapping, the "ResourceType Mapping" tab contains the mapping from resource types in SPASE to DataCite, and the "Role Mapping" tab maps from contact roles in SPASE to contributor roles in DataCite (mappings to "Creator" / author are included). The main mapping was generated in rough alignment with the PIDINST mapping to Datacite, currently located at https://datacite-metadata-schema.readthedocs.io/en/4.6/mappings/pidinst/. Note: The order of the people mapped to the “author” role in DataCite is expected to be different from instrument to instrument, so a mostly alphabetical list is assumed. Colors in the main table are: Red: Does not yet exist in SPASE Instrument records Yellow: Updates needed later, or topic references another tab.
