Mapping Intersectional and Decolonial Approaches in Research on AI-Driven Knowledge Organization Systems and Gender Data Gaps: An Exploratory Thematic Review
This dataset supports the study “Mapping Intersectional and Decolonial Approaches in Research on AI-Driven Knowledge Organization Systems and Gender Data Gaps.” It contains the data used during the identification, screening, selection, and thematic analysis of the scientific literature included in the study. The dataset includes: (1) the bibliographic records retrieved from Scopus, with the identification of papers included and excluded during the screening process; and (2) the analytical matrix developed for the full-text analysis of the selected studies. The matrix records the thematic dimensions examined in the research, including Knowledge Organization and information representation, Artificial Intelligence and related computational approaches, gender data gaps or gender bias, intersectionality, decoloniality, and informational or epistemic justice. The Scopus search covered English-language publications from 2015 to 2025. Records were manually screened according to the eligibility criteria defined in the study, and the final selected corpus was analyzed using the thematic coding framework provided in the dataset.
