Legal aspects of cyber security for legal entities contemporary challenges and solutions
Cyber security increasingly shapes legal obligations for corporations and legal entities worldwide. This research examines contemporary challenges facing legal entities under existing cyber security frameworks. It explores liability standards, duty of care, contractual protections, and enforcement mechanisms. The study aims to identify legal gaps and propose practical statutory solutions. This research adopts a qualitative approach combining doctrinal analysis with document analysis. Data came from scholarly journals, official legal portals, and current legislation. Results reveal inconsistent liability standards, weak enforcement, and limited cross-border regulatory coordination. Uzbekistan’s Cyber security Law particularly lacks clear corporate accountability and board-level oversight provisions. This research proposes amending Uzbekistan’s law to strengthen reporting, governance, and disclosure requirements. Recommendations include phased implementation, sector-specific guidance, and stronger insurance market support. These findings offer practical direction for regulators, legal practitioners, and corporate boards. Strengthening legal clarity ultimately protects organizations, investors, and broader digital economic stability. This research contributes meaningful insight toward more effective cyber security governance frameworks globally.
