Pink lipoma along the ventral tongue: uncommon clinical presentation.
Oral lipomas are relatively uncommon mesenchymal lesions primarily composed of mature fat cells and may be associated with a myriad of lesser-known histologic variants that contain populations of spindle cells, smooth muscle, cartilage, blood vessels, collagen, myxoid tissue, and/or salivary glands. Lesions typically arise on the buccal mucosa and exhibit a yellow to yellow-pink hue. The aim of this article is to report an unusual case of a moderately pink lipoma on the ventral tongue.
